Tally Stock Position Export (Multi-Company)

Tally stock master and closing quantities exported to Excel or JSON, feeding lookups, alerts and dashboards.

The challenge

Stock figures were being exported from Tally by hand every time another system, report or dashboard needed them - a small task that quietly recurred several times a week.

What we built

Our tool connects directly to Tally, pulls the complete stock item master with current closing quantities, and writes it out as Excel or JSON for downstream use. Connection details and the target company sit in a small configuration file beside the executable, so one build works across machines, companies and sites without recompiling. It has become the feeding mechanism for stock lookups, reorder alerts and dashboards elsewhere in the client's setup, which is exactly the point: extract once, reuse everywhere.

The result

Before: manual exports several times a week. Now: extract once, reuse everywhere.
