GSTR-2B vs Purchase Register Reconciliation

Twelve months of GSTR-2B reconciled with the Tally purchase register - matches, mismatches and missing invoices in one audit-ready workbook.

The challenge

Annual GST reconciliation between the Tally purchase register and GSTR-2B data was done with VLOOKUP formulas and took one to two full days.

What we built

Our software merges all twelve monthly GSTR-2B downloads, reconciles them against the purchase register on GSTIN, invoice number and tax amounts with a sensible tolerance, and produces a workbook with separate sheets for matched entries, tax mismatches (mismatching cells highlighted), invoice-number mismatches, entries missing on either side, and a summary dashboard. The exercise now takes minutes and the output is audit-ready for GSTR-9.

The result

Before: 1-2 full days. Now: minutes.
