Production Plan and Packing Material Requirement

Sales indent and live stock turned into a date-wise production plan and packing material requirement, emailed daily.

The challenge

Production scheduling required juggling the sales indent sheet, finished-goods stock and packing material stock - all in different Google Sheets.

What we built

Our tool pulls the indent and live stock figures, produces a date-wise production schedule showing indent quantity versus available stock with shortages highlighted in red, and converts the production plan into packing material requirements using a bill-of-materials mapping (including items that use multiple packing materials). The finished report is emailed to the management team automatically. Planning that took a meeting now takes a glance.

The result

Before: a planning meeting. Now: a glance.
