The challenge
Sales staff away from the office had no way to check whether an item was in stock without phoning the accounts desk and waiting for someone to look it up in Tally.
What we built
We paired two pieces of software: a Windows job that reads live stock positions from Tally and writes them into a Google Sheet, and a mobile web app that serves a fast, searchable view over that sheet. Because the client runs two Tally companies, the tool refreshes each company's quantity column independently against the item rows rather than rebuilding the sheet, so both stock positions sit side by side against a single item list. Anyone with the link gets current stock on their phone - no Tally licence, no VPN, no phone call. The search page is a deployed web app that shows each item's stock company by company with a running total.
The result
Before: phone the accounts desk. Now: stock on the phone.
