Cash and Bank Daybook Web App

Shared web daybook for partners: income, expense and transfers with running balances and a category dashboard.

The challenge

Partners tracking cash and bank movements across several accounts had no shared, current view of where the money actually was.

What we built

Our web app records income, expense and inter-account transfers against a defined set of cash and bank accounts, maintaining a running balance on each. Every write that touches a balance takes a script lock first, so two people submitting at the same moment cannot corrupt a figure - a real risk once more than one person is entering transactions. A category-wise dashboard summarises spending for any chosen period, and categories are selected from the existing list rather than retyped, so a single spelling slip can no longer fragment a month's reporting.

The result

Before: no shared view of cash. Now: live balances for everyone.
