The challenge
Receipts were issued from manual receipt books, making daily reconciliation and reporting painful.
What we built
We built a desktop application covering vehicle receipts and accessories receipts with separate auto-numbered series, automatic GST splitting (CGST/SGST) for accessories, amount-in-words, customer and payment masters, file-number search across thousands of records, and payment-breakup reports with CSV export and printing. Printing works on the dealership's pre-printed A5 stationery, with a configuration screen where staff can fine-tune the print position and font size of every field themselves. The dealership now has professional receipts, instant reports and a complete digital trail. Receipts can also be produced in Hindi as well as English, with the fonts bundled so Devanagari prints correctly on any machine.
